Dianna had another setback on Wednesday...
She had to be put back on the oscillator to help her breath. :-(
This also means that she must have medication that paralyzes her body-
so she does not fight the machine helping her breath.
Dianna had too much fluid in her body and this was putting too much pressure on her lungs.
She was not getting enough oxygen in her body, so the CO2 level was rising.
Dianna was off all her IV drips, but now she is back on several again. :-(
She had dialysis Wednesday, but it was not enough to help her breathing--
today Dianna will have dialysis again.
Dianna is still running a fever. (???)
The doctors have run many, many tests but so far nothing found as to what is causing the fevers.
Please pray that Dianna will not need to be on the oscillator for a long period of time...
that she will not loose the strength that she has gained the past few weeks from physical therapy.
Also- that the fevers will stop and the skin on her leg will continue to heal.
THANK YOU!!!
Welcome to Dianna's webpage.
It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).
Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.
FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.
She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.
Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.
Transplant date: October 1, 2008
Dianna went to heaven September 1, 2009

Hello Nanette,
I am sorry that Dianna has taken a few steps backwards. We are still praying for her. We have prayer meeting again tonight so I will update my friends and family and we will pray for her there too. Praying for her to be able to breathe without help and keep her strength that she has worked so hard for...and for the fevers to go. Praying for her whole health and for you as you continue to support your beautiful girl.
Lots of love,
Charisse
You have been through so much, my heart just breaks for you and Dianna. Praying that Dianna's body starts to heal and become stronger daily.
I feel the same as Kristin (Wesley...). My heart breaks for you and everything all of you are going through. I CANNOT imagine what it's like to sit there with your precious baby girl and watch her go through all of this. Man, I don't even like watching my little girl go through blood draws! We'll be praying for you all...and for your mommy heart to be able to make it through all of this. We pray for sweet Dianna to GET BETTER!! Lots of love and prayers...
BIG HUGS.
Love,
Teresa & Emma
Dear Dianna, You are more precious than words can describe. God is holding you in his hands like a little baby bird. Rest in Him until those wings are stronger, and you will fly! God loves you and so do we!
We send our love to you today!

I didn't know I could leave comments of I would have weeks ago!! Sorry...
Dianna has been in our prayers and thoughts all these months. I'm so sorry she's had another setback. Its so unfair and FA stinks. :(
Keep strong and know there are many people out here who care about you!! We'll pray without ceasing until our prayers are answered and Dianna is home healthy with her family. May God grant you the peace, patience and strength to continue this journey.
With love,
Nancy Ross

So very sorry to hear of the set back. Particularly having to be on the oscillator. It is difficult enough, but to have to watch them lay there paralyzed is heartbreaking. I remember the times when Elias was placed on the oscillator and how I felt looking at him. I can only imagine your heartbreak. We are praying for Dianna, she is a strong willed young lady that will surely triumph over yet another hurdle. Our thoughts will be with you all. We hope you find some comfort very soon.
Dianna,
You keep being brave and we will keep praying that God cover you in His tender mercy and that He give the doctors the knowledge and skills they need to help you get well and that He also supply your mommy with peace.
Love,
Kevin, Brenda, Dusty & JP Latham
