Today did not go to well...
The doctor tried to switch Dianna from the oscillator back to the ventilator-
But, she could not take deep/large enough breathes to get the oxygen she needed on the regular vent.
(Her chest was too stiff--??-- Now WHAT??)
Also, as the RT was about to try to switch Dianna- she unplugged the wrong machine!
She unplugged the CVVH (dialysis) machine! :-(
And the Oscillator!
Which caused Dianna's blood pressure to drop...
This was very scary.
SO-- Dianna is STILL on the oscillator. :-(
Still on several IV med's to keep her blood pressure up. :-(
Welcome to Dianna's webpage.
It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).
Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.
FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.
She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.
Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.
Transplant date: October 1, 2008
Dianna went to heaven September 1, 2009

Hi Nanette,
I hear that you and Teresa ran into each other at the hospital. That would have been nice for you both.
I am so sorry that today didn't go too well. What a scary thing to have the wrong machine turned off. We are still praying for dear Dianna and for your strength too. We have prayer meeting tomorrow night and I will update them all and we will continue to pray.
Hold in there!
Love Charisse
I'm so scared for you guys. You should be at camp with us, Dianna playing and laughing. I am so sorry. I pray Dianna's body starts to heal. Hugs.

Dianna,
I hate to hear it when you have bad days but don't let them deter your fighting spirit. We are praying and rooting for you.
Love,
Kevin, Brenda, Dusty & JP Latham
Nanette -
You're still in our thoughts and prayers for healing and a better day today!!! Kyle & Karly said to say HI to your kids too...
Stay strong,
Nancy Ross
Our family is praying for your faith, her strength, and God's glory to be shown in her healing.
Thank you for the update. Sorry to hear the switch was not successful. Keep the faith that will see you through and provide Dianna the strength she needs. Know that there are many many people praying for your family and hopefully that provides some comfort. All our FA children have a resiliency about them that few people ever have the pleasure of knowing. Best wishes for some brighter days ahead. Take care!
