Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

Today was awsome!
The entire family attended the Corvette Classic at the Texas Motor Speedway. Make-a-wish invited us to ride in the Corvettes and also in a helicopter. The Corvette Drivers loved Dianna. When she was in the cars she would say faster, faster (they were already going between 95 to 120 miles per hour.) Also she would ask them to turn up the radio- louder, louder. They thought is very so cute coming from such a small little girl. She was NOT afraid! The kids got to ride in 4 or 5 different Corvettes. Each time they got to go around the track several times. It was very thrilling! Also Dianna loved the helicopter ride. No one in our family had ridden in a helicopter, so this was exicting for everyone. It was beautiful flying over and around the Texas Motor Speedway. Finally, to end the day. We went to Lake Lewisville to swim and cool off after another day of 99 degrees. (They said on the track it is even hotter!) While the kids swam, Bret cooked hotdogs on the grill.
What a GREAT day!

Today was so hot! 99 degrees outside & we spent most of the day outside. Dianna's brothers- Nicolaus & Ryan each had a baseball game. It was fun, but very hot.

Yesterday was another busy day! First school, then run to eat an early dinner. Next, Dianna to horse back riding lessons. Dianna's horses name is "Snowflake". You can see a picture of her if you go to the link below- "Spirithorse". Dianna loves riding and has become very good. She is also learning a lot about horses.
Finally, after horse back riding we run to brother- Nicolaus' baseball game. It was a good game, but they lost by one point.
We still had fun.

Today we attended the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament. Daddy Bret & Nicolaus walked part of the course, but Mom & Dianna sat most of the time at hole #17. We saw Vejay (sp?) make a hole in one. After the Tournament we went to Chuck E Cheese's. Dianna's FAVORITE place to eat. Finally home to finish brother Nicolaus' Science Fair Project. (not fun) Everyone was very tired after all the walking today!
