Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

Transplant date: October 1, 2008

Dianna went to heaven September 1, 2009

December 2005

Another busy weekend...
Friday, Nicolaus had a birthday party and Ryan, Courtney and Kaelynn arrived.
Also, Nic's friend Cody spent the night.
Saturday, we got up early. Dropped off Cody and drove to Sherman, TX. to see my Uncle Dickie in the hospital. (He had four by-passes done on Friday) It was good to see him, but I know it will be awhile before he feels like himself again.
(He is in our thougths & prayers!)
Next, we drive back so Courtney can go to her basketball game & Dianna can attend her friends birthday skate party.
Sunday, up early again for church.
Ryan's church choir group was singing during church in the morning service and preforming again that evening. Following our Bible Study, Nicolaus' grade was having their Christmas Party. They had lunch then went caroling at a Retirement Center and finally went to a movie.
We also went to visit Doris at the Nursing Home and give her a Christmas present.
Bill (her husband) was there & we gave him his Christmas gift also.
It was 8:30 PM before we finally arrived home & still had to feed & get kids ready for bed.
I was READY for bed!

Sorry it has been a while from the last entry!
We have been very busy at our house.

To begin with we had 22 people at our house for Thankgiving Lunch. It was a lot of fun.

Next we were getting Christmas decoration up and shopping for Christmas gifts.

Dec. 3rd was the Old Town Christmas Stroll in Lewisville. It has many activites for the kids. And a Christmas parade.

Nicolaus, Courtney and Kaelynn sang at church on Dec. 4th.
(Dianna was to sing also, but had a bug that day and had to stay home with Mom.)

Dec. 13th, Nicolaus had his Orchestra Winter Concert. So Granny & PawPaw came down from Oklahoma to watch.
Before the concert- They picked Dianna up from school and went to see Santa. Dianna told Santa what she wanted for Christmas and had her picture made. (It turned out very good)
Finally we went to see Nicolaus play his violin. He did great! We are very proud of him.
