Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

Day + 81 (Total # days in hospital= 90)

*Dianna with Nicolaus, Kaelynn, Ryan and Courtney...Dianna had a good weekend. :-)
Sunday- Dianna went for a ride around the hospital to see the Christmas decorations.
The doctors reduced the steroids again. :-)
Her blood pressure has been much better.
The doctors were able to reduce some of her blood pressure medications! :-)
The BK Virus in her kidneys/bladder has shown a reduction...
The doctors believe that this is due to Dianna's body is beginning to fight the virus. :-)

This sounds like all good news! That is great that the steroids have been reduced and the BP is coming down...and the infection looks like it is clearing up on its own!
Love Charisse

Dianna,
I'm so glad to finally get some good news on your progress! I knew you would get better with so many people praying for you. It had to be on God's time not ours. You keep on fighting and you will be home soon! Everyone misses you and loves you so much! I hope you have a good day today and each day will get better and better.
Love,
Ms. Donna
