Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

Transplant date: October 1, 2008

Day + 319

Dianna is the "Come Back Kid"- AGAIN! :-)
She is amazing the doctors again...
This morning the nurse was able to turn OFF the last of the blood pressure medications!
She had been on three different medications at one time just to keep her pressures up.
The ICU doctor said-- "I wish that I could say it was something that I did."
**But we know that it was something God did!**
(and maybe a little of Dianna's stubbornness-- "I'll show you!") :-)
She is still off the oscillator, but not off the ventilator.
THANK YOU for all the prayers!!!!!
Please keep praying that Dianna continues to improve and that she does NOT get an infection.
(Dianna's body is so weak at this time, but she is still fighting.)

Dear Nanette,
Praise God!!! He is in control! I am so glad that Dianna is still fighting so hard! God has a plan for that little warrior! She has been such an inspiration to so many people in her life, especially mine!!!! I called and left a message today to see if Miss Julie and I could come visit, but I understand it is probably against policy with Dianna being in ICU. Hope you both will have a good day today!!!!!:-) Please give Dianna a big hug and kiss from me and tell her she continues to be in my prayers, as do all of you!!! Keep looking up!!!!!
Sending bunches of hugs kisses and love,
Miss Cynthia

Alex says, "We all know that those doctors are stupid." That is Alex talking. We are so so so glad to hear that she is doing better today. God is good! It's amazing how He saves us in the moments that we feel so alone. Maybe you will be up on the 6th floor before you know it! Praise God for all He has done! With Love- Alex and Family
