Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

Day + 40 (Total # of Days in hospital= 49)

MONDAY:
Last night still having a fever. :-(
First thing this morning Dianna was off to "Day Surgery" again! :-(
Dr. Goldman wanted to remove her "Central Line" ASAP-
he said it had an infection in it and the reason for the fever.
Her surgeon was able to work her in this morning.
Dr. Herman removed the Central Line in her chest and inserted a temporary line in her thigh.
Once the infection is gone- she might have a "Port" inserted into her chest.

Hey Dazzling Dianna!

Spencer would disagree with you on mac n cheese not being real food! He loves it! HA! Now that the cause of infection is gone, you will feel much better! Hang in there and give Momma a big hug from us too!

Well I am glad they figured out what was causing the fever. I know you will feel a lot better when the infection clears. Now that you are getting to eat "real food" what tastes the best? give mom a hug and a kiss.

Bummer, I was hoping that infection with the fever was clearing up. I guess it is a real tough one (two) , but you are tougher! The doctors will get the best antibiotic to finally work. It is good you are sleeping because sleeping is when the best healing goes on. Still praying. Jesus loves you. love, Donetta
