Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

Day + 60 (Total # of days in hospital= 69)

SUNDAY:
Dianna is STILL in the PICU. :-(
It has been 10 days in the PICU this time.
She is still having the problems with high blood pressure.
Dianna is on an IV drip and oral medications.
The doctors have tired several different oral medications-
but when they begin to reduce the IV medication her blood pressure goes way up. :-(
She can not leave the PICU until she is off the IV drip for blood pressure. :-(

Today we will pray specifically for the blood pressure mystery to be solved soon so the IV will go away and you can leave PICU. Keep your chin up and know that we love you!

Hi Dianna,

Paul and I know that you will have a very special Christmas and that Christmas angels are all around. We loved the picture of you and your brothers and sisters.
