Welcome to Dianna's webpage.

It has been provided to keep friends and family updated on her life with Fanconi anemia (FA).

Dianna was diagnosed with FA in April 1998.

FA causes aplastic anemia (bone marrow failure), as well as many different types of cancers.

She had a few of the obvious signs of FA: missing both thumbs, deaf in her right ear, very small for her age, and had corrective surgery at birth on her intestines.

Dianna had a sibling donor bone marrow transplant at Medical City Dallas, TX.

WEDNESDAY:
Sorry it has been so long for an update-
we are STILL in the PICU!
Dianna is still having problems with high blood pressure.
The doctors have tried several different types of blood pressure medications.
I hope they find the right combination for Dianna- soon.
And they have switched Dianna from "Cyclosporine" to "Tacrolimus" (Prograt).
We will see if this might help???

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!"

Just wanted to say hi to Dianna and I hope that she is feeling well. I wanted to wish her a happy thanksgiving, although the picu is not the place she wants to be. I am hoping that they find the right combo drugs for her speedy recovery with the high blood pressure, and everything else. She is a beautiful little girl and I hope to see more beautiful smiles posted soon. Her smile really does bring such a smile to my face, maybe it's contagious. I am praying that she feels better soon.

Hi Nanette,
sorry to hear you are still in the PICU. At least you know that Dianna is being taken well care of :-) Happy Thanksgiving to you. I pray that the change in medication does work and make a difference.
Lots of love,
Charisse

Just a quick note to say hi. Hope you are feeling better. I went to Austin for Thanksgiving which was also my birthday. It was great as we watched the UT Longhorns beat A&M. (Sorry if you are an Aggie fan!!) I wish you were out of PICU.
Soon they will figure out the right medicine to help that blood pressure come down. Please remember that you are loved. Prayers headed your way. Love Donetta
